UPDATE 12/5/18:

Summer is nearly upon us, the suns shaking off its long winter coat, it’s just about time to give it the kick start it needs, the one and only Buttermere Bash. Throughout the winter plans have been laid and schemes made to give you all the ultimate off the grid festival that all our souls need. Here’s what you can expect from Buttermere 2018:

Music
Buttermere is renowned for show casing amazing bands in the most beautiful setting. This year we have just a very special line up, with some of the best musical talent in the north converging for your entertainment. Funky Friday will kick off with local folk band ‘The Herdus’ https://en-gb.facebook.com/herdusband/ warming the early evening up from the bar stage. Bash favourites, Keswick’s ‘The Kasios’ https://en-gb.facebook.com/thekasios will kick of the main stage followed by our team of DJ’s in the bar till the late hours. Now your warmed up and hopefully not worn Saturday will start gently with reggae tunes and an open mic session on the bar stage through the afternoon. Evening tunes will again start with ‘The Herdus’ warming up the bar stage before the main action kicks off with our main stage acts. Featuring ‘Broken Levee with Lindsay Hannon’ http://brokenlevee.co.uk/lastlight/ a stylish and charismatic blues rock band hailing from the North East. Followed by ‘Ponyland’ https://ponyland.bandcamp.com/ saddle up to journey into the world of samba reggea, drum & bass, afrobeat and jazz. To be revved up to a crescendo by Bentham’s second most famous band ‘Donut (formerly known as eating disorder)’ https://dohnutformerlyknownaseatingdisorder.bandcamp.com/album/i-scream-you-scream a Disco, Punk, Rave unit… Cake n Chaos

Food
Thursday evening ‘Alternative Pizza’ from Cockermouth will deliver to the field around 8pm. Orders will be taken through the day at the bar.
By Friday morning Joey’s Café will be fired up serving proper coffee, cakes, cheeky alcoholic concoctions and more. Also, Humes Catering will have their huge food van serving full English breakfast in the mornings through to 2 course meals in the evenings and food late into the nights. You could happily want for nothing more and it would be great if you could support these local businesses and consume their delicious offerings.

Bar
Keswick Brewery will again support the event with our own specially brewed ‘Thirst Flight’ ale, but we’re spicing it up and getting several iconic local guest ales in. Hesket Newmaket Brewery will be supplying their awarding wining brews and we’ll also have a sneaky local brew that’s harder then ‘Loweswater Gold’ to get hold of.

Flying
Our passion and the reason we do this event. The Lakeland Charity Open is available for pilots wishing to be guided or push themselves in the unique flying playground which is the Lake’s http://lco.theflightpark.com/lakeland-charity-open-2018.html
Pulling in some of the world’s top acro pilots, Buttermere will also see the flourishing British guys perform their latest routines. The Ospreys skydive display team will also be dropping in.

Charity
Last year you help this event raise £3,500 which was spread out amongst numerous local charities and good cases. With your help again, we can make this event a great success again.

See you all in Buttermere!
